Travel With Purpose
About Me

I’m Erin Ignane, and my story begins in the darkest places losing my father at five, surviving years of abuse, trapped in addiction and a devastating marriage that left me with nothing but betrayal trauma and an empty bank account. For decades, I existed as a caretaker, invisible in my own life, believing I was broken beyond repair. Two and a half years ago, an unexpected connection on Instagram changed everything. It led me to Morocco, where I discovered something I never thought possible: that healing doesn’t happen in comfortable places. It happens in the raw, unfiltered spaces where life strips away all pretense. In the ancient medinas and remote Atlas Mountains, staying with my husband’s Berber family, I witnessed something extraordinary. People who had every reason to be bitter living in poverty in a world that had forgotten them radiated a joy and contentment I’d never known. Children played with sticks and stones as if they were treasures. Families gathered for tea with the same reverence others reserve for ceremonies. Time moved differently there, unmarked by the endless wanting that had consumed my Western life.I realized how spoiled I’d been, not by wealth I had none but by the luxury of endless complaint. Here were people who had mastered the art of being present, of finding abundance in simplicity, of maintaining hope in a landscape where hope should have died long ago.Morocco didn’t just change my perspective; it shattered and rebuilt me entirely. In those ancient places, walking paths carved by countless generations, I felt connected to something larger than my pain. The mountains held my trauma without judgment. The desert taught me that emptiness could be sacred. The people showed me that happiness isn’t something you achieve it’s something you choose, again and again, regardless of circumstances. Now I split my time between Indiana and Morocco, living in Dar Bouazza and Martil, deepening my connection to this land that saved me. For two years, I’ve been working inside myself, preparing for this calling I couldn’t ignore: to guide others into their own transformation. What I offer isn’t typical travel planning. This is raw, authentic immersion into a way of life that time has forgotten. You’ll stay with my Berber family in the Atlas Mountains, experience their daily rhythms, share their meals, and witness their unshakeable joy. I’ll personally guide you through hand-curated experiences that go beyond sightseeing they go straight to the soul. Most of the proceeds return to the family and the dying countryside, supporting a way of life that holds wisdom our modern world desperately needs. Because healing isn’t just personal it’s collective. When we support these communities, we preserve something precious for future generations seeking their own path back to wholeness. If you’re ready to step outside your comfortable suffering and into the transformative power of Morocco, I’m here to guide you. Not as someone who has it all figured out, but as someone who has walked through the fire and found that on the other side, there’s a life worth living. This is where your healing begins in the spaces between what you thought you knew and what you’re about to discover about yourself.
Our Story & Our Why
We met on Instagram just two strangers from different worlds, drawn together by something bigger than coincidence.I came from a broken background the kind that makes you question love, safety, and what “home” really means. He came from the countryside of Morocco, where family still gathers under olive trees, and stories are passed down through bread and song. Somehow, we found each other and we built something true.Salah’s family lives in a stone-built Berber home that’s stood for generations. Chickens, donkeys, goats in the trees. Blue paint faded by time. Dogs guarding the village at night. It’s not a vacation spot. It’s not curated. It’s real. And now, we share that life with others. Not as a retreat. Not as a tour. But as a bridge for women, couples, and seekers who want something deeper than a hotel brochure. When you travel with us, you eat with our family. You walk our land. You live the rhythm of Morocco not as a tourist, but as someone who’s meant to be there.Because the truth is, healing doesn’t always look like luxury. Sometimes it looks like laughter in a kitchen with no Wi-Fi. Or watching the sky change color over the same hills his grandfather once stood on. That’s the Morocco we love. That’s the story we want to share.
